Pre- Preflight Checklist:

Too much to remember to do or check before you step out of the clubhouse door? What does that strange code on the Metform mean? Confused about JAR? Never understood VFR and Special VFR limits? Feeling 'exposed' and need a general aviation 'mentor'?
Try the Pre- Preflight Checklist!

An invaluable list of tips and legalites to consider before even leaving the clubhouse, coupled with appendices covering, amongst other things, JAR Revalidation Rules, Variant Rules and the 90 Day Passenger Rules. Every effort has been made to write this in language understandable to the GA pilot, at whom it is aimed. It has been favourably reviewed in Flyer and Pilot Magazines, International Flight Training News, AOPA's Light Aviation, and GASCO's Flight Safety Bulletin. Read what Pilot Magazine said about it in their online reviews.

The target audience is the fixed wing pilot in the UK under JAR rules, but most of the tips are applicable across many forms of aviation. Extremely useful to the qualified PPL holder and student alike, but if you plan to learn in the USA and then fly in the UK, either on an FAA Certificate or a JAA licence, (or already do), it's almost a necessity.

The checklist consists of 19 sides of information and tips, printed black on yellow to distinguish this list from your aircraft checklist. The pages are bound at the top with a metal spiral to enable 'flipping' through the pages.

There are 9 sections, giving over 50 'subtopics', ie: tips and legalities, to consider. If you think 50+ is a high number, you'll be surprised to find that many of these 50+ split down to various sub-tips themselves, giving an amazing number of ideas. Some of these have been learned 'by experience' - why waste time and energy trying to make all the mistakes yourself if someone has beaten you to it already?

Take the strain from your brain before flying again - use the Pre- Preflight Checklist!

New: DVD - Just what you've been waiting for...!

You know you don't fly often enough, you know how rusty you feel! For 10 years I've been derusting pilots after lay-offs and most of them show the same mistakes, forget the same things, etc. This DVD can be watched before you go flying, and you can see (and recognise) the rust! Pre-flight planning tips too. If owning and watching this DVD can save you just 15 minutes of de-rusting time once at today's rental prices, it will more than worth it.
